Casie

My good friend, Casie, came to visit this week and we were so excited to see her! Casie and I were best friends in high school and virtually inseperable. We did some pretty crazy stuff (by our standards) and always have fun reminiscing.

Some of my favorite Casie memories:
  • Eating T.V. Dinners together
  • "Golfing" on our high school golf team
  • Camping up at Rimini
  • Rolling bowling balls down Hendersen Street
  • "Stalking" our "boyfriends"

Jack and Joey love her and are always excited to see what goodies she has for them. (You spoil them, Casie!) This visit she brought Easter baskets full of candy and toys, but the sidewalk chalk was what caught their attention first.

After we finished our sidewalk art, we went out to lunch and while we were there Joey poked me in the eye with her straw - the second time she's jabbed me in the eye with something - and I think it may make Casie reconsider having children for awhile! I ended up going to the doctor and finding out I have an abrasion on my eye and need antibiotics! I think from now on I'll wear protective eye gear whenever I hold Joey:)

Casie and her husband, Chris, live in Wyoming and we don't see them nearly enough. Growing up we always talked about how we would live by eachother and take our kids to the park to play together. Even though that hasn't exactly happened, I'm so thankful for the time we do have together and cherish our friendship now more than ever. I love you, Casie!

Ahh, I am honored to have a spot in your blog! I love you all and miss you guys. It was so great to see you and the kids! I had lots of fun! I am so sorry about your eye, though! Chris and I ended up coming back to Gillette a day earlier than we were planning to get some things done around the house, but I really hope we can all get together when we are back in June! Lots of love!
