T-Ball

Jack had his first T-Ball game tonight! It was soo chaotic, but lots of fun! There are 12 kids on his team and they let each one bat during an inning (there aren't any outs - much to Kevin's dismay). It took an entire hour to get through one inning, so that was all they played. All of the kids were so cute trying to figure out where to run and whenever someone would hit the ball the entire outfield would run in to get it!

Joey has just as much fun as Jack at the games. There are quite a few kids her age so they all play together and share snacks. My friend Dani and I had to keep chasing Joey and KK off the field because they wanted to play, too! We have 6 more games to go, so it should be lots of fun!

Sum-sum-summertime!

Kevin had a softball game for work last night - under 40 vs. over 40 (the young crowd won! Woo hoo!) so the kids and I tagged along to watch.

We've been enjoying the outdoors so much lately and are completely bummed when it rains and are forced to stay inside. Jack starts T-Ball next week and he can't wait! He and Kevin have been practicing every night - much different than soccer. We couldn't force him to practice, so this gives us hope for his enthusiasm toward t-ball! Blade and Alli might come home next weekend (YEA!!!!!) and we are sooooo excited! I can't wait to hold and kiss baby Mason! We'll keep you updated (better than I have been - I promise).

Diggin' and Playin' Ball

Oh my goodness, how my children LOVE digging in the dirt! We need to build a sandbox ASAP!

We signed Jack up for T-Ball so Kevin has been working with him on throwing, catching, etc. If you look at the first picture, you may notice Jack's shoe lace tied to the chair. This is Kevin's attempt to teach Jack to step with his left foot when he throws. It made me kind of sad, but Kevin swears it'll work. We'll see...

Meanwhile, Joey decided to play soccer out in the field. They could wander around out there for hours! It's going to be so depressing when they eventually develop it:(

Soakin' Up the Sun

The weather was so nice last week that we just had to take advantage of it and run through the sprinklers! Joey is still a little apprehensive about the water, but she's slowly warming up to the idea. Jack, on the other hand, would strip down to his undies on a moment's notice and soak himself in the sprinkler. This week is supposed to be rainy, but I'll take any break I can get from watering!
